About the role

Position Level: Senior Director / Band 14 (Dedicated Business Unit Technology Leader)

Reports To: Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Our client designs and builds the high-performance compute, storage and networking hardware behind hyperscale data centers, inside a global design, manufacturing and supply chain organization. Their hardware platform business unit has outgrown what a shared corporate IT function can give it, so they are standing up a dedicated technology leader for it.

You'll own the global run-side infrastructure that keeps the design labs running: highly segmented R&D lab environments, advanced firewall topologies, zero-trust remote access, SD-WAN, high-throughput storage, and greenfield facility build-outs across design centers in Texas, California and Taiwan. The remaining thirty percent is engineering enablement, governing AI sandboxes for code assist and automated testing, native Linux developer baselines, secure code-signing, and export-controlled clean rooms. You'll scale a 20 to 30 person global team and report to the CIO.

This is not a hands-off management seat. You'll hold a chair at both the engineering executive table and the corporate IT table, and the role needs someone who pushes back on a risky technical ask rather than absorbing it.
